My brilliant success at a "Job Interview"!

I arrived in the UK in 2020. Knowing that my English needed improving to help me settle and find a job here, I joined the Cambridge SPEAK programme offered by the Cambridge English Language Society (C-ELS).

Since starting to attend, my confidence in speaking English has grown significantly, and so has my confidence in applying for jobs and attending interviews.

For me, the “Interview Practice,” which is covered in depth in the course, was enriching and crucial, thanks to activities like role-plays and discussions. I learnt how to present oneself, what to say/not to say, the importance of assertiveness, and how to ask questions at the end.

I applied for a job as an Employment Coach with a charity, and to my delight... I was successful!
